Mussels with Chili, Garlic, and Lemon
This amazing mussels dish will cause a delightful stir at your dining table. Serves 4 people.
- 1.5 kg mussels
- 1 onion
- 2 cloves garlic
- Juice of ½ lemon
- Finely grated zest of 1 organic lemon
- 1 tsp sea salt flakes
- Freshly ground pepper
- 1 red chili
- 3 dl white wine
- Flat-leaf parsley

This is the way to make it…
- Rinse and clean the mussels thoroughly, and let them drain well.
- Finely chop the onion and garlic.
- Place the lemon juice and zest in a small bowl.
- Finely slice the chili and mix it with the lemon juice. Add sea salt flakes and pepper. Set aside for later.
- Heat the plancha.
- Brush the griddle with oil.
- Add the chopped onion and garlic and sauté until golden.
- Add the mussels and cook with the onions over high heat for 3-4 minutes.
- Pour in the white wine and lemon juice mixture and let it simmer, stirring occasionally, for a few minutes.
- Discard any mussels that have not opened and serve the mussels immediately.
- Garnish with flat-leaf parsley.
